A Community First Yorkshire event

Community Buildings Network, topic: Community Consultation

Do you need to consult with your community? As a committee or board of trustees, you may be considering a project that will alter the structure of your community building, or perhaps you want to engage people more in the running of the hall, or find out what people want from their community building? If so, our next Community Buildings Network meeting is for you! That’s because we are focusing on how to carry out an effective consultation with your community.

What will you learn?

Through this interactive in-person session, you will not only learn how to craft an effective survey, you’ll also learn about other creative ways of engaging with local people.

Designed to be really thought provoking, why not come and heckle Nicky and Hilary as they seek to run a mock village meeting on controversial proposals for Mockbury-upon-Faux Village Hall.

Who should attend?

This network meeting is for community building and village hall committee members and trustees across North Yorkshire, providing the opportunity to learn, network and share information, advice, tips and thoughts on all aspects of running a hall.

What's included?

The session includes refreshments and attendees will leave with a resource pack and online links to practical tools to help increase the effectiveness of community engagement.
