This a network meeting for community building and village hall trustees across North, South and West Yorkshire to network and share information, advice, tips and thoughts on all aspects of running a hall.

Community Buildings Network meeting (10am)
We are all more reliant on using digital services as part of our everyday lives but how can digital connectivity help your community buildings?
Whether you already have broadband connectivity, or just thinking about it, how could being digitally connected enhance your offering?
This session, ‘Making the most of digital connectivity’, will explore ways to embrace the digital world and use it to your advantage and that of your community and those who use your premises.
What new services could you provide to your users and your community? How could digital connectivity help your boost your building’s income? We will discuss this topic in the first half of the meeting.
During the second half of the meeting there will be an opportunity to discuss any issues you are currently facing with other community building and village hall trustees and Community First Yorkshire development officers.

About the trainers

Vicki Sharp and Michael Fletcher are Development Officers with Community First Yorkshire.
Vicki has most recently worked as a Volunteer and Operations Manager at a Museum Trust where she oversaw all operations including energy and phone contracts, access and environmental objectives. She has also worked as a Disability Careers Advisor, Youth Development Worker and Area Youth Worker across the Harrogate District.
Michael has worked in the Project Team for Community First Yorkshire for the last two years alongside working in various roles with Citizens Advice. Prior to that he worked on projects for a large high street bank and also has extensive volunteering experience in the UK, Romania and Lesotho.
