NEW FOR 2023!

This new training session for 2023 is designed to build confidence, to celebrate self (including past achievements) and to explore assertiveness and what it means.

An open, honest and imaginative in-person session will provide opportunities to reflect on own practice, growth as a manager, and the positive contributions that can be made to the work setting. Participants will be encouraged to learn, develop and share ideas in an interactive, in-person format.

Participants will take away a new perspective on themselves, a plan for future change/growth, and techniques to use with their team.

Please note: some pre-reading will be provided for this course.

  • To explore assertiveness and what it means to you
  • To reflect on own practice, thus grow as a manager
  • To explore positive contributions made to the work setting
  • To learn, develop and share ideas

Who should attend?

This workshop is designed for leaders at all levels who would benefit from confidence and assertiveness exercises to enhance their practice.

Please note this training is aimed at voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations and groups based in North Yorkshire or delivering services within North Yorkshire.

About the trainer

Stef Bricklebank is a confidence consultant with over 25 years’ experience of working with people within all settings and communities.

Based in York, UK, she has provided 1-2-1 and group sessions and motivational speeches.

Viewing that “everyone deserves to be heard and respected,” she aims to help you find your voice and gain the confidence needed to make the change you want to see. “Confidence is like a muscle; the more you use it, the stronger it gets!”

Concessionary places

Thanks to funding from North Yorkshire County Council, we have free ‘first come, first served’ places if you meet either of the criteria below. You can self-select a free place during booking.

Criteria:

  • You are from a North Yorkshire VCSE organisation with an income of up to £5k

OR

  • You are from a North Yorkshire VCSE organisation with an income of up to £25k which is experiencing financial hardship and would struggle to pay .
    These spaces are limited so if a free place is not shown when you go to book, you can ask to be added to the waiting list for a free place on a future training session.

No shows and concessions

Please note that if you don’t attend training that you have booked on without giving seven days notice, you will be required to make the full payment. This also applies to free places. This is to allow as many participants as possible access to our training. See our Terms and Conditions for more information.

Refunds

Attendees can receive refunds for cancellations up to 7 days before the event date.
