Marketing your Mission: Create Your Marketing Strategy for 2025

New for 2025

You know the work you do is incredible. But how effectively are you selling your organisation to the audience that matters most?

When, inevitably, there’s so much focus on delivery, it’s easy to put off telling the world about what you’ve achieved, and what you’re doing next. That’s why taking a moment to stop, think about what you want to achieve and develop your ideal marketing plan can really help you see the wood and the trees.

Our new interactive workshop is designed to help you create that essential marketing strategy. Learning from Faye Levi, who specialises in supporting non-profit organisations, you’ll explore:

  • Your goals and why they’re important
  • How you can measure whether the marketing strategy has worked
  • Your audience, and what they need/want
  • What makes you different, and why your audience should care
  • Your message – the key points that should weave through your marketing efforts
  • The marketing toolkit at your disposal to bring this to life.

What will you learn?

We want you to leave with a sense of satisfaction that you’ve got on top of an important task that you know will help your organisation, but that has perhaps been pushed to the bottom of the to-do list.

You’ll leave this session energised, with a clear step-by-step approach to creating a marketing strategy, and an understanding of how to tackle each of those steps. Some of you may find you create your strategy in the session itself, while others may wish to take ideas back to discuss with their teams.

Specifically, you will:

  • Clarify your organisation’s goals or the problem we’re trying to solve, and why it matters
  • Set SMART objectives for your marketing efforts and learn how to measure if they are being met
  • Understand how to create audience persona profiles, and how to use them in creating an audience-focused marketing strategy
  • Consider your USP (unique selling point) and how this relates to the audiences you have identified
  • Prioritise the messages you want to focus on, and what action you want your audience to take
  • Understand the marketing channels available to you and your organisation and how they can successfully work together in your marketing strategy.

All attendees will receive a marketing strategy template to use after the session.

Who should attend?

This session is designed for those with key strategic decision-making responsibilities within the organisation, and/or those responsible for marketing. The session can work particularly well when both are able to attend together.

Please note this training is aimed at voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations and groups based in North Yorkshire or delivering services within North Yorkshire.

What's included?

All attendees will receive a marketing strategy template to use after the session.
