A Yorkshire Energy Doctor CIC event
Energy Ambassadors update event 2 – Autumn 2022
About this event
On 10th August Martin Lewis described soaring energy bills as a “national crisis” on the scale of the COVID-19 pandemic. This is in response to news this week that the energy price cap is likely to rise to £3,582 on 1st October and potentially reach £4,266 on 1st January 2023. Government intervention is absolutely critical but to date nothing further has been announced since the support package in May.
Join Chris and I for this update meeting where we will cover:
- Energy prices this winter
- Support the government is giving
- How to advise people who can’t afford to pay for their energy and how to deal with debts
- The most common benefits that households miss out on (led by guest speaker Jo Scott from Everyday Enable)
- Update on the ECO scheme for insulation / boiler replacements etc
- Innovative engagement ideas or initiatives from your own areas
- (plus anything else that may come up over the next month)
Please note that this event is specifically for anyone who has attended one of our online Community Energy Ambassador training courses.
