A Community First Yorkshire event

Heritage Lottery Fund – Bitesize Funding

Event aims

If you need some guidance on how to submit a successful application to the National Lottery Heritage Fund, this workshop is for you.

This pre-recorded session from last year’s North Yorkshire Funding Summit is led by Helen Peacock from the Heritage Fund, the UK’s largest funder of heritage.

Hear from Helen as she shares insight on how to apply for the wide range of grants that help connect people and communities to local heritage in North Yorkshire. Your project could be for anything from restoring habitats, community archaeology, historic buildings to archive collections.

Who should attend?

This training is designed for organisations interested in applying for grant funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund and for anyone wanting to submit an eye-catching, outstanding application and stand out from the crowd to secure that grant

What will you learn?

Helen shares her advice on how to successfully apply to the Heritage Lottery Fund and explains:

  • what heritage is, and what type of projects and organisations the Heritage Fund support
  • the impact of Covid-19 and the Fund’s funding priorities for 2022
  • the different grant programmes
  • how the fund can benefit your organisation and your community, and the different outcomes they expect projects to deliver
  • how to optimise your application.

About the trainer

Helen Peacock is Senior Engagement Manager North at the National Lottery Heritage Fund, which is the largest dedicated funder of heritage in the UK.

It was really good to learn in detail how to not only put together a bid that is likely to be successful but also to hear how much support the Heritage Fund provides.
