A Community First Yorkshire event

Introduction to Crowdfunding

Many people have heard of crowdfunding but just do not know where to start with a campaign. This bitesize session will run through everything you need to know to prepare and launch a successful campaign, to raise money from the local community and beyond.

The training is delivered over Zoom and our funding adviser will provide you with expert advice relevant to your organisation or project.

During this session, participants will develop their knowledge and understanding of:

  • How to get started on a crowdfunding campaign;
  • Top tips and common mistakes made when running a campaign;
  • How to access match funding opportunities;
  • Case studies of successful campaigns;
  • Understand what support is available to your organisation.

Who should attend?

Voluntary organisations seeking funding for a tangible project. The course is appropriate for paid staff, management committee members and volunteers. Please note that in order to run a crowdfunding campaign you will need to have a basic understanding of IT and social media.
