A Community First Yorkshire event

How non-profits can benefit from LinkedIn

This newly revised LinkedIn training for 2025 is created with the understanding that many people who manage social media for charities and non-profits do it on greatly limited time and budget.

The session will look at how to:

  • Get the most out of limited resources whilst recruiting new volunteers and securing funding/donations
  • Ensure that your posts are compelling and result in maximum engagement from your audience
  • LinkedIn is becoming one of the main ways for community organisations, charities and groups to market themselves in the professional world.
  • Not many organisations have the budget to hire dedicated staff or third -party agencies to run social media accounts so practical knowledge and skills are vital when there are limited time and resources.
  • This live, training will be delivered over Zoom.
  • Our social media workshops are popular, and places are limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

What will you learn?

To make this workshop as bespoke as possible we will ask you a few short questions when you register to help us understand your exact training needs.

The workshop will be tailored to meet the needs of the group but is likely to cover the following areas:

  1. Why LinkedIn and social media are so important
  2. Creating the perfect LinkedIn personal and business profiles
  3. Growing your LinkedIn network
  4. How to create compelling and engaging posts
  5. Using LinkedIn to recruit and inspire volunteers, trustees and donors
  6. Practical examples of what works and what doesn’t
  7. Using LinkedIn’s free and discounted tools for non-profits
  8. Engaging with LinkedIn’s growing non-profit community
  9. Supporting your staff and volunteers on LinkedIn
  10. Using LinkedIn to support your fundraising efforts
  11. Showcasing success stories to highlight impact and inspire support
  12. Using analytics to track engagement and improve your strategy
  13. The opportunity to share your own experiences and learn from others
