North Yorkshire VCSE Leaders Group meeting Thursday 29 August 2-4pm 

The North Yorkshire VCSE Leaders meeting brings together colleagues from a range of voluntary and community groups and social enterprises (VCSEs) across the county to discuss various topics. All voluntary groups and charity leaders are invited to these meetings – everyone is welcome.

At the meeting we will discuss and share views on the following draft agenda items:

• Connecting with VCSE organisations involved in reuse, recycle, repurposing items – Reuse Network  
• North Yorkshire Thriving Communities Partnership June meeting – update and discussion of matters raised
• York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority priorities – discussion of implications and opportunities for VCSE organisations, observations for meetings with the Mayor
• York and North Yorkshire Skills Strategy and links to Humber and North Yorkshire Workforce programme and presentation for reference
• New Government priorities – discussion of VCSE sector asks and opportunities (NCVO/acevo sector manifesto 2024 Election)
• Adult Safeguarding and wider concerns about community and personal safety – update and actions to note
• Open discussion of sector and community issues.
