A Community First Yorkshire event
Selby Community Building and Village Hall network meeting
Event aims
The aim of the network meeting is to provide a forum for community building and village hall trustees across Selby to network and share information, advice, tips and thoughts on all aspects of running a hall.
Who should attend?
This is a network meeting for community building and village hall trustees across the Selby district, especially those that are planning major building works
What will you learn?
In the first half of the meeting we will discuss what to consider if you are planning significant refurbishment, extension or new builds for your hall. We will also explore the new ACRE information sheet on refurbishments and rebuilds. Monk Fryston and Hillam Community Centre, who have kindly agreed to host the meeting, have recently completed a significant programme of works and will be on hand to share their experiences.
During the second half of the meeting there will be an opportunity to discuss any issues you are currently facing with other community building and village hall trustees and Community First Yorkshire development officers.
What’s included?
All attendees will receive an electronic copy of ACRE information sheet 23; planning a refurbishment, extension or new build.
Refreshments will be available
