VCSE Leaders’ Wellbeing Hub – practical ways to deal with burnout

Two women talk. One is worried and the other one consoles her.

Practical ways to deal with burnout and being overwhelmed

Thursday 10 February 10am – 1pm

Event aims

Longing for a more balanced and effective way of working that doesn’t feel like a constant tightrope walk? Concerned there is just too much pressure in the organisation and anxious that colleagues are struggling to cope?

Leaders have to be courageous every day, and it is common to experience the conflict between work and life, fire-fighting and leading. This session will explore burnout and overwhelm culture, taking an honest and open look at the expectations of roles and introducing strategies that help participants be effective and efficient in their roles.

The session is about practical over aspirational – ensuring the take-home tools can make a tangible difference to wellbeing and that of others too.

Who should attend?

Workshops should be attended by leaders from the Humber Coast and Vale area only.

The training will be delivered by Where The Mind Grows, an organisation delivering nature-based coaching programmes across Yorkshire to enhance participants’ wellbeing. Where the Mind Grows draws on the wisdom of the natural world, to apply effective solutions to mental health, wellbeing and psychological safety. This ecopsychology approach is woven into the coaching and facilitation of workshop sessions, to offer a different perspective and alternative ways of thinking and responding to the happiness and health of ourselves and others.
