A Community First Yorkshire event

Volunteer Co-ordinator Network Meeting

Young volunteer and old volunteer have their thumbs up

Event aims

Would you like to know more about how you can successfully support older people with their volunteering? Join us as we explore some of the practical considerations of supporting older volunteers. Fiona Andrews from Dementia Forward will also be joining us to share a new resource they have developed for supporting volunteers with dementia.

Who should attend?

This is a network meeting for volunteer co-ordinators from across North Yorkshire to come together to share information, advice, tips and thoughts on all aspects of volunteer management.

What will you learn?

With an increasingly elderly population, community organisations are key to the promotion of healthy ageing and volunteering in particular plays a very important role in this. In this session we will explore good practice when supporting older volunteers.

There will also be an opportunity to explore the topics further with other volunteer coordinators and to raise any issues or concerns you may have about any aspect of volunteer management.

If you have any specific questions you would like to put to the network, please submit these before the meeting.

What’s included?

All attendees will receive a copy of the presentations and notes from the session.
