A Community First Yorkshire event

Volunteer Co-ordinators Network Meeting

What you always wanted to know about being a Volunteer Co-ordinator but were afraid to ask.

As we settle back into work after the Christmas period we would like to look ahead and ask what your 2024 volunteering year looks like. Will you be looking to change your volunteer offer or stay with what you used in 2023? Will the Vision for Volunteering project inform your practice?

We are thrilled that Rachael Neale the Volunteer Development Officer with Yorkshire Housing will be joining us for an open discussion and some peer support.

The Vision for Volunteering is a ten-year collaborative project designed to create a better future for volunteering. As we start our journey through 2024 how will you use the Vision to guide your work and the support you give to your volunteers?

Join Carole Roberts, Vicki Sharp (our Development Officers) and Rachael for an open discussion on how the themes of Awareness and Appreciation, Power, Equity and Inclusion, Collaboration and Experimentation can be weaved into your plans for 2024.

As usual there will be peer support from colleagues as we open the discussion up to all things volunteering.

Please email any questions you want to pose to vicki.sharp@communityfirstyorkshire.org.uk  by Wednesday 31 January so that we have time to prepare the agenda and our responses.

If we receive more requests then we can work through in the time we will put together a pack of information to be sent out after the meeting.

Who should attend?

This is a network meeting for volunteer co-ordinators from across North Yorkshire to come together to share information, advice, tips and thoughts on all aspects of volunteer management.
