Are you a volunteer who manages volunteers? Perhaps you’re a trustee who takes responsibility for recruiting other trustees? Or maybe you’re a CIC director who looks after volunteer recruitment and training?
We understand that creating, training and leading a volunteering team when you are a volunteer yourself can bring its own set of unique challenges.
Perhaps you’ve taken on extra responsibility gradually, and haven’t been able to access training or support in your new role? And you’re beginning to realise that there’s a lot involved in doing the job well – especially when you understand just how important volunteers are as the backbone of so many charities and community groups.
Responding to quite a few requests, we’re looking to set up an informal network aimed specifically at volunteers who recruit, train and manage other volunteers. We’d love you to be part of it.
Meeting online every quarter, for an hour over a cuppa, the aim is to help you connect with others who share your experiences, exchange ideas, and develop a supportive peer group.
These will be mini gatherings tailored just for you to offer guidance, a chance to learn from others and help support you in your role.
