All volunteers who lead or supervise other volunteers. This includes trustees of charities and unpaid directors of CICs who have responsibility for volunteer recruitment and training.

Volunteering keeps our communities thriving, but leading volunteers can be both rewarding and challenging. This friendly network is for anyone who recruits, trains, or supports fellow volunteers—whether you’re a trustee, an unpaid CIC director, or simply someone who’s stepped up to lead.
Join our quarterly online get together to connect with others in similar roles, share experiences, and build a supportive peer network. There’s no set agenda—just space to chat, ask questions, and see where the conversation takes us.
Open to all volunteers in leadership roles. Come along to feel heard, inspired, and better equipped to lead with confidence

About the host

Vicki Sharp is a Development Officer with Community First Yorkshire’s VCSE Support team.
Vicki has years of practical experience in volunteer recruitment and support including being the Volunteer and Operations Manager at Ripon Museum Trust. A former secondary school teacher she also worked for many years as a Youth Worker, SEND advisor and Youth Development Worker across the former Harrogate District. Vicki volunteers at The Ritz Cinema in Thirsk.
Our upcoming meeting will be co-hosted by Laura Allan, Community Curator at Ripon Museum Trust.
Ripon Museum Trust cares for three unique museums in Ripon: the Workhouse, Prison & Police, and Courthouse. Through these historic sites and collections, the Trust explores themes of poverty, crime, and justice, inspiring visitors to reflect on fairness and equality while preserving heritage and enriching community life.
Laura brings a wealth of experience in community engagement and heritage interpretation, fostering connections between museums and the audiences they serve.
