As a charity you are required to prepare accounts that are compliant with the charity SORP and, if you are a company, your accounts must be compliant with Companies Act legislation.
This lunchtime session is designed to help you get ready for the production of your organisation’s annual accounts and make sure you have the right information available for your accountant or independent examiner – potentially saving you both money and stress!
To provide invaluable specialist information and advice, we will be joined by Rhys North, an experienced Community Accountant from WYCAS.
During the session, we will cover:
– When you need to start planning
– What information you need to have available
– What you should include in the Trustees Report
– An explanation of annual accounting terminology e.g. related party transactions.
The session will also review a sample of accounts to allow you to understand the key issues you should be looking for when reviewing your accounts.
Is it for you?
This session is aimed at staff who are responsible for preparing annual accounts or who have responsibility for liaising with accountants or independent examiners.
