Mastering group dynamics and difficult interactions

Mastering group dynamics and difficult interaction
event quote

Step into a dynamic, thought-provoking training experience designed to empower teams navigating challenge and change.

Understanding group dynamics

This isn’t just theory – it’s an interactive space to reflect on how your team functions, especially when faced with demanding clients or high-pressure scenarios. You’ll have the opportunity to bring real cases from your professional world and unpack them in a practical, collaborative setting.

Facing difficult conversations, together

We invite you to examine what fear means – not just individually, but collectively as part of a workforce. How does fear of change affect your team? And more importantly, how can your organisation respond with strength and support?

Your skills toolbox, reimagined

Take stock of the tools you already carry: your experience, strategies, instincts, and skills. What’s working well? What’s outdated? And what new insights or techniques can you introduce to better support yourself and your colleagues in the future?

This is your chance to step back, reflect deeply, and leave with actionable strategies for leading with clarity, confidence, and care.

What will you learn?

By the end of the session, you will understand:

  • What is meant by the term ‘Group Dynamics’
  • What is meant by a skills ‘toolbox’
  • If an action plan of change is needed for yourself or team
  • How others would deal with difficult clients to get the best possible outcomes
  • Your own skillset and make an action plan for improving on or developing it, if needed
  • Your worth and what you bring to the table and how this can help and impact others.

Who should attend?

Trustees, staff, volunteers and leaders at all levels who are either new to their roles or would like to refresh their levels of confidence when presenting themselves and their organisations in demanding situations.

Please note this training is aimed at voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations and groups based in North Yorkshire or delivering services within North Yorkshire.

What’s included?

Refreshments will be provided along with copies of all resources used. The session will involve working on a personal action plan.
