A Community First Yorkshire event

Social media strategy and objective setting

Creating a social media strategy which can drive impact and help your campaigns succeed can feel a bit daunting.

Whatever the size of your organisation, and your team, a strategy and pre-set objectives are essential. Without them, anything you post can be a drop in the social media ocean.

Please join us for this practical training workshop from our social media partners SRX Consultancy.

Their experts will help you set objectives, develop a strategy and build a social media guidebook that everyone in your organisation can use for many years to come.

These social media workshops are popular, and places are limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment.

What will you learn?

To make this workshop as bespoke as possible, we will ask you a few short questions when you register to help us understand your exact training needs.

While we will tailor the content to meet the needs of the group, we will likely cover the following areas:

  • Social media objectives – what are yours?
  • Free and paid tools – what you can achieve
  • Setting your tone and voice
  • Developing a strategy
  • Creating a social media guidebook
  • Calendars and milestones
  • Reports and analysis
  • A chance to share your own experiences and learn from others.

Who should attend?

This training is for staff or volunteers who have responsibility for social media as part of their role. Volunteer coordinators will find this training particularly useful.

You will have a good knowledge of social media and how to use it but need help in developing a longer-term strategy and setting objectives and goals.

Please note this training is aimed at voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations and groups based in North Yorkshire or delivering services within North Yorkshire.

What’s included?

After the training, we will send you a pack containing all the advice, tips and links discussed during the session.  You will also be able to pass on follow-up questions to our trainers, SRX Consultancy, who will offer practical support (via email or a quick call) to ensure you are able to put everything you have learned into action.
