Demonstrating your impact

demonstrating your impact training

Are you a charity or community group professional looking to communicate your organisation’s impact effectively? Join our ‘Demonstrate your impact’ workshop, an interactive session designed to empower you to articulate the real difference your work makes.

Workshop highlights:

  • Understand impact: explore what impact means for your organisation and why it matters to beneficiaries, funders and supporters
  • Structured approach: learn to identify key information needed to demonstrate impact and translate evaluation data into engaging narratives
  • Interactive exercises: participate in writing exercises and group discussions to improve your storytelling skills.

What will you learn?

Being able to demonstrate impact is more than just a reporting exercise – it’s about showing the real difference your organisation makes. A clear impact story helps you prove value to funders, celebrate achievements with your community, and inspire others to support your work.

In this workshop you’ll:

  • Develop a clear understanding of what “impact” means and why it matters
  • Gain practical tips on how to collect, analyse and present evidence effectively
  • Learn simple methods for crafting your impact story to strengthen funding bids, communications and applications
  • Discover how to showcase positive change in ways that inspire funders, partners and communities
  • Understand how a strong impact story can raise awareness, secure support and build long-term engagement.

Who should attend?

This workshop is ideal for charity leaders, project managers, and anyone involved in fundraising and outreach efforts.

Please note this training is aimed at voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations and groups based in North Yorkshire or delivering services within North Yorkshire.

What's included?

Handouts will be shared after the session.
