A Community First Yorkshire event

Getting started with Gift Aid

Every year, over £564 million in Gift Aid goes unclaimed – money that could be supporting vital charitable work. Many organisations miss out because they’re unsure of the rules, worried about making mistakes, or simply overwhelmed by the process. But who doesn’t like money back from HMRC?

This practical and engaging session will demystify Gift Aid and walk you through the steps to confidently make your first claim. You’ll learn how to unlock extra income for your charity – without asking donors for a penny more.

Delivered live via Zoom, this interactive training is perfect for anyone looking to make the most of Gift Aid and boost their organisation’s financial resilience.

What will you learn?

By the end of the workshop, you will:

  • Understand what Gift Aid is
  • Understand which donations qualify for Gift Aid
  • Know how to claim Gift Aid
  • Understand the pitfalls and how to avoid them

You’ll leave feeling confident, informed, and ready to start claiming Gift Aid with ease.
