National Lottery Awards for All – Bitesize Funding Workshop 

Are you ready to make your funding application shine?

If so, this bitesize workshop, complete with question-and-answer session, is designed to help you craft a compelling submission for the National Lottery Awards for All programme. Led by funding expert Nicky Ruddick, the session will demystify the application process and give you proven tips on how to stand out from the crowd.

Whether you’re new to funding or looking to sharpen your approach, this interactive Zoom session will equip you with the confidence and knowledge to present your organisation effectively and boost your chances of success.

What will you learn?

By the end of this practical and engaging workshop, you will:

  • Know how to maximise your chances of submitting a successful Awards for All application
  • Understand which types of organisations and projects are eligible for funding
  • Learn how applications are assessed and the common pitfalls to avoid
  • Discover how to consult with beneficiaries and incorporate their feedback
  • Gain tips on accurately costing your project
  • Explore how Awards for All can be a stepping stone to larger funding opportunities such as Reaching Communities.

Nicky will guide you through each step with practical advice and examples to help you feel confident and prepared.

Who should attend?

This workshop is suitable for any voluntary or community organisation that is seeking project funding up to £10,000, including village halls, play groups, parish councils, health and social care services, environmental groups and festivals/events.

Please note this training is aimed at voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations and groups based in North Yorkshire or delivering services within North Yorkshire.

About the trainer

Nicky Ruddick has 20 years’ experience as a funding advisor, securing funding for hundreds of voluntary organisations including village halls, play areas, health and social care groups and youth clubs across North Yorkshire.

Concessionary places

Thanks to funding from North Yorkshire Council, we have free ‘first come, first served’ places if you meet either of the criteria below. You can self-select a free place during booking.

Criteria:

You are from a North Yorkshire VCSE organisation with an income of up to £5k

OR

You are from a North Yorkshire VCSE organisation with an income of up to £25k that is experiencing financial hardship and would struggle to pay.

These spaces are limited so if a free place is not shown when you go to book, you can ask to be added to the waiting list for a free place on a future training session.

Cancellations should be made up to 7 days prior to the event for a full refund.
