A Community First Yorkshire event

How non-profits can benefit from LinkedIn

Are you looking for a new way to expand your social media presence? Maybe you’re leaving X and wanting to invest your time elsewhere, or perhaps you want to reach a different demographic than Facebook or Instagram?

Then LinkedIn may be the social platform for you.

LinkedIn offers a wealth of opportunities for charities and community organisations to expand their reach, engage with supporters and find new donors. It even has free resources and discounted products available for non-profits.

Our updated LinkedIn course will help you explore this avenue for your organisation. Whether you are new to LinkedIn or already signed up, it will offer advice on refining personal and business pages, making the right connections, creating compelling content and using all the tools and tricks that are often missed.

What will you learn?

To make this workshop as bespoke as possible we will ask you a few short questions when you register to help us understand your exact training needs.

The workshop will be tailored to meet the needs of the group but is likely to cover the following areas:

  1. Why LinkedIn and social media are so important
  2. Creating the perfect LinkedIn personal and business profiles
  3. Growing your LinkedIn network
  4. How to create compelling and engaging posts
  5. Using LinkedIn to recruit and inspire volunteers, trustees and donors
  6. Practical examples of what works and what doesn’t
  7. Using LinkedIn’s free and discounted tools for non-profits
  8. Engaging with LinkedIn’s growing non-profit community
  9. Supporting your staff and volunteers on LinkedIn
  10. Using LinkedIn to support your fundraising efforts
  11. Showcasing success stories to highlight impact and inspire support
  12. Using analytics to track engagement and improve your strategy
  13. The opportunity to share your own experiences and learn from others

Who should attend?

This training is for staff or volunteers who have responsibility for LinkedIn and social media as part of their role. Volunteer co-ordinators, trustees, and fundraisers will find this training particularly useful.

You will have a working knowledge of LinkedIn – but be in a position where you require help with areas such as creating compelling posts, increasing engagement, attracting volunteers, and more advanced features such as scheduling and analytics.

Please note this training is aimed at voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations and groups based in North Yorkshire or delivering services within North Yorkshire.

What’s included?

Course handouts and slides.
