A Community First Yorkshire event

Volunteer views and brews

Volunteering is the heartbeat of our communities – but leading volunteers can be both rewarding and challenging. This network is a dedicated space for volunteers who take on leadership roles, recruiting, training, or supervising others. It’s a network designed specifically for those who give their time freely to support and guide fellow volunteers.

Whether you’re a trustee, an unpaid director of a CIC, or simply someone who’s stepped up to lead, this get-together is designed to help you connect with others in similar roles, share your experiences, and build a supportive peer network. Come along to feel heard, inspired, and better equipped to lead with confidence.

What will you learn?

Our quarterly online get togethers are designed to give you the space to share, ask questions, and build meaningful connections with others in similar roles. There’s no agenda – just come along and contribute if you wish. Let’s just see where the conversation takes us.

Let’s make this a welcoming, supportive, and productive environment. Together, we can learn from one another and enhance the volunteering experience for everyone involved.

Who should attend?

All volunteers who lead or supervise other volunteers. This includes trustees of charities and unpaid directors of CICs who have responsibility for volunteer recruitment and training.

Please note this meeting is aimed at volunteers who represent voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations and groups based in North Yorkshire or delivering services within North Yorkshire.

What's included?

All participants will be sent any presentations or notes taken during the meeting.
