A Community First Yorkshire event

CEO Peer Group meeting

Connecting North Yorkshire

We recognise the unique and challenging nature of being a chief officer and want to support you and strengthen collaborative working. Our CEO Peer Group meetings provide a safe space for chief executive officers from the voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations in North Yorkshire to connect with peers and build relationships.

What to expect

Each event has time for informal networking followed by discussion focusing on a particular theme. October’s event will focus on collaboration and how the VCSE sector can work more closely across North Yorkshire.

Following our first meeting in June, we said we would offer this space on a quarterly basis. As agreed, after this meeting we will alternate between face-to-face and online meetings and respond to the needs of the group.

Who should attend?

Chief executives of voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations in North Yorkshire.

Quotes

“The CEO Peer group offers great opportunities to meet other charity leaders in a safe and supportive space.  It’s a fantastic way to connect with new people and organisations, talk through challenges facing our organisations and the sector more widely and get support from people who really understand where you are coming from.”

Becci Blues, Chief Officer, Community Furniture Stores

“It is invaluable to be able to meet with like-minded individuals, on a similar adventure who are there to share their learning and support with others, whilst developing their own self as a CEO. I can’t wait for the next one. Everybody was so friendly, welcoming, happy to help but also listen.”

Jess Ward, CEO and Founder, Inspire Youth Yorkshire
